How much will insurance chip in towards my Realine treatment?
Answer: Every insurance company is different. Some have a flat "lifetime benefit" towards orthodontic treatment, sometimes as much as $1,500. Some insurance plans have no benefits orthodontics or for dental work which they consider primarily cosmetic. You will have to check with your carrier to make sure. This is best done before you begin treatment.
Dr. Meyer's front desk staff will be happy to help you through the insurance company maze, and help you to determine what benefits you are likely to receive. Please be aware that insurance companies are not known for being generous on your behalf; if your carrier says you have orthodontic benefits, don't believe them until the check is in your hand. After you accept treatment, if your insurance company decides not to pay benefits to which you thought you were entitled, you will still be responsible for all fees associated with your Realine treatment.
