Some of our patients experience an inability to get numb, have a phobia of needles, have an extreme gag reflex, have very sensitive teeth, have had traumatic dental experiences, have such intense fear that they consistently break treatment appointments, or have time constraints. An adult sedation specialist can perform many complex, multiple-visit procedures in as little as one visit. For these reasons, we sometimes refer our patients to this specialist.
